Media study in Offenburg

We offer interdisciplinary media study programs. Our study programs provide practice-oriented and up-to-date content from the fields of media design, media technology, media economics and media information technology.

The whole faculty with its employees' rooms is located in a modern media building, constructed in 2009. It provides lecture halls in various sizes, laboratories and professional studios, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The department Media and Information (M+I) at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg trains students who feel at home within media technology and media computer science as well as in media business administration and the design of media products. Interdisciplinarity serves as a binding element for all study programs. The work style is based on openness, co-operation and team orientation.

Highly committed, competent colleagues and excellent facilities in the new media building with its separate studio section, laboratories and lecture halls contributes to a motivating, practice-oriented learning. Students are qualified to work in multitude of applications in the area of media.  Conception and implementation of different types of media products on the basis of a stable foundation of theoretical knowledge forms the centre of teaching and courses. The results of wide-ranging research work in the areas of IT security, E-learning and eye tracking as well as artistic work particularly in the fields of film, animation, audio and graphic design finds its way into teaching. This approach ensures the up-to date status within the context of training.
